Project Coco

“I never teach my pupils. I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn.”

—Albert Einstein

Inspired by a dog that was found in a substandard living situation with people who were not necessarily unkind people but rather people who lacked the information and the means to provide a better life for their animals, Karma Rescue realized the need for an outreach program to assist and educate families on proper and responsible animal care. This was the inspiration for Project Coco.

The Mojave Dogs: a lifesaving collaboration brought to you by the LA rescue community

Karma Rescue goes into the neighborhood and the specific household and provides basic materials needed to improve the living situation of the dog in need. First and foremost; explaining the ramifications of unneutered animals is essential, so we provide low cost spay/neuter coupons as well as medical information. Training may also be necessary in certain situations.

In addition, general items such as crates, dog houses, flea/tick medications, food, collars, leashes, blankets, bones and toys are sorely needed. Once we leave the home, it is Karma Rescue’s aim that we have helped these families to help themselves. They now understand that owning a dog is a life-long responsibility, and they will practice these skills throughout the life of their current dog as well as their future dogs. It is also our hope that the recipients of our assistance will be inspired to educate and help others within their community by spreading their newly acquired skills, tools and knowledge.

For those interested in supporting Project Coco, both monetary and material contributions are needed to achieve our goals.
