Hurricane Katrina Victims Come to Karma Rescue

Katrina Dogs On September 20, 2005, a plane arrived in Los Angeles carrying over 100 homeless animals from Hurricane Katrina. Karma Rescue as well as other rescue groups across Southern California opened their doors to these displaced victims. Most of the animals that arrived were in poor condition; emaciated and dehydrated, some with skin diseases, and most were carriers of heartworm. All the dogs received medical attention from our veterinarians, a stabilized environment from our foster homes, and assistance from our dedicated volunteers.

Our goal at Karma Rescue is to stabilize these dogs, help them in their healing process, and eventually reunite them with their lost guardian. We appreciate all the support and contributions we are receiving from people all over!
