PALMDALE SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAM

 

KARMA Rescue is proud and delighted to partner with the City of Palmdale’s spay/neuter program.

Residents served by the incorporated City of Palmdale in zip codes 93550, 93551, 93552 and those assisting the community cats (TNR) in these areas, are able to apply and receive low-cost spay/neuter services. This program is made possible by Measure AV.

 

 

PROGRAM INFORMATION

What is covered: Funds will cover surgeries only, up to the limits outlined below:

Dog Spays  

  • Up to $100 for dogs up to 30# 

  • Up to $150 for dogs 31-49# 

  • Up to $250 for dogs 50#+ 

Dog Neuters 

  • Up to $100 for dogs up to 30# 

  • Up to $150 for dogs 31-49# 

  • Up to $250 for dogs 50#+ 

Pet Cat Neuters/Spays  

  • Up to $65 for each neuter 

  • Up to $120 for each spay 

Pet Parent Pays For:  

  • Pet Parent is responsible for any additional charges that are required for pet to have the surgical procedure like pre-op bloodwork and IV catheter or surgical costs greater than outlined above.   

  • Rabies is required by some clinics for service, can get day of surgery if not up to date.  

  • If a pet has fleas/ticks there will be a charge for flea/tick injection  

 Additional Services  – Cost to Pet Parent may include, but not limited to:

•     Annual Vaccines

•     Lyme/Lepto Vaccine

•     Rattlesnake Vaccine  

•     Influenza Vaccine

•     Pre-Op Bloodwork  

•     Cryptorchid

•     In Heat additional

•     Pregnant additional

•     IV Catheter

•     Brachyencephalic

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

Live in the approved incorporated City of Palmdale zip codes.

Must be able to show proof of residency by providing a government-issued ID with current address and a utility bill with matching name.

Proof of pet ownership is required (vet bill, vaccine record, etc.).

Surgery Requirements:
Pets must be current on rabies vaccine or one will be given at pet parent’s expense. 
Dogs must be minimum of four months old, and male dogs must have testicles present.
Cats must be minimum of two months old and at least two pounds.
Cats must be in a secure carrier.  No cardboard box carriers, please.
Community cats (TNR) must be in a trap.
